Massachusetts is developing a strategic plan that will identify problems associated with the lack of a coordinated approach to GIS data use. The plan will make recommendations concering policies, standards, technology, organizational changes, and funding commitments needed to ensure the consistent development and maintenance of shared spatial data resources in the State. It is anticipated the plan will further the development and maintence of NSDI framework data layers in the State.
