Workshop Objectives
- Provide a view onto the state of play in respect of the use of open geospatial interoperability standards for addressing research questions related to sustainable development, with particular emphasis on the use of these standards for leveraging volunteered geographic information and enabling community observatories
- Debate the motion: 'Are OGC and related standards fit for purpose in a fast changing technological society?'
- Identify major research questions for maximising the value of open geospatial interoperability standards in support of the Sustainable Development Goals
