The Open Geospatial Consortium is a Collaborating Partner of the FGDC.
GeoPackage is an open, standards-based, platform-independent, portable, self-describing compact format for transferring geospatial information. It may be used across many domains, from defense and intelligence to outdoor recreation.
GeoPackage 1.2 revises version 1.1. Changes alter conformance requirements. Changes that significantly impact existing implementations were rejected or recast in order to limit their impact.
