NCDDC's Metadata team will be providing the following metadata training courses in an online format. This course presents the basics of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) compliant metadata. It provides the content and structure of the ISO 191** series metadata in detail, along with methods for transitioning to ISO from FGDC metadata. Students receive hands-on metadata record creation and validation training with a variety of available software tools.
Registration is now open for the series which will be held every Tuesday from 9:30 a.m-10:30 a.m. CST from January 19 until April 30, 2013.
Prerequisite: Introduction to Geospatial Metadata OR a working knowledge of the FGDC CSDGM.
