This session will offer an overview of how to leverage the Geospatial Platform to access data and services, create maps, and collaborate with others. It will also provide a hands-on demonstration of how to create data services and metadata that can be exposed through the Geospatial Platform. We will demonstrate how to:
• Get your data on the Geospatial Platform
• Manage data on the Geospatial Platform
• Act as a Geospatial Platform data steward (roles and responsibilities)
• Learn how information and resources are strategically managed on the Geospatial Platform and organized according to NGDA Data Themes
We will offer real-world stories of how Federal agencies are currently using Geospatial Platform technology. Examples will include efforts around making Geospatial Platform data available to respond to emerging issues. Join us to learn how to maximize your resources on the Geospatial Platform and share your own experiences and insight with our team.
Presenter(s): Ivan DeLoatch (Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC)), Jerry Johnston (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency)
