NGAC 2017 Transition Recommendations

The FGDC provided the following guidance to the NGAC in April 2016:

Transition Planning
The FGDC requests assistance from the NGAC in developing recommendations on key geospatial issues, priorities, and opportunities for the next Administration. The transition recommendations should be brief, and focus on a small number of key issues. The transition recommendations may address the following points: 1) Describing how geospatial technology can help the new Administration in achieving its goals, 2) Identifying a small number of geospatial priorities or opportunities, and 3) Identifying resources to assist in implementing the recommendations and advice. It is anticipated that the transition recommendations will reflect priorities and goals identified through the NSDI strategic planning process. Therefore, we expect that the NGAC's work in transition planning will primarily take place in late 2016, after initial work on the NSDI planning process has been completed.
