The Forest Service will host the November 7, 2007 meeting of the Standards Working Group, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm EST. The meeting will be at the Forest Service headquarters building (Yates Building), 201 14 St. SW, Washington, DC 20250 (nearest Metro stop: Smithsonian). This is the dark red brick building on the SE corner of the intersection of Independence Ave. and 14th Street, SW. The meeting will be in the McArdle Conference Room, which is on the ground floor just beyond the guard desk on the left as you enter the building.
Topics to be covered at this meeting include:
- Vote on recommendation that the FGDC Coordination Group approve endorsement of the final draft National Vegetation Classification Standard (Version 2.0)
- Geospatial Standards Activities
- Status of Framework Data Standard
- Review of FGDC standards program of work
- Development and approval of Coal Mining Data Standard through ASTM International 2008
- FGDC Cooperative Agreements Program (CAP) FY 2008 FGDC Standards Work Plan
- Public review of the Wetlands Mapping Standard closes Friday, November 9, 2007
