  • By Metro - After exiting the Metro Red Line, turn left towards Colesville Road, turn left and walk south along Colesville Road, the first building on the left is SSMC #1. The entrance will be facing the Metro Red Line.

  • Parking - There are two parking garages (1) is located at 1315 East West highway (2) The other is the located at the Metro Station. Link below provides the locations of the parking garages relative to SSMC #1- Garages are metered parking.

Building Security

In order for attendees to access SSMC #1, the security office requires the following at least 24 hours prior to meeting date.  Since the meeting is after a holiday, the security office will need the following no later than noon, Friday, February 16th:

  • Full Name
  • Agency

Visitors shall show the Security Officer a picture ID (drivers license, military ID, etc.).

Visitors shall be required to sign-in at the building security desk, process through the walk-through magnetometer, and have their items x-rayed or searched.

Visitors are issued a time expiring NOAA Visitor Badge valid for one day only.
