Due to our funding source’s requirements this workshop is free to GIS or environmental science professionals working for any tribal (Native American) agency or organization. This workshop is limited to 18 people.

  2. Making maps through web based sources
  3. KML creation and discovery for Google Earth
  4. Using Metadata to publicize your map service through the NSDI.

9:00-9:30 - Welcome and Overview of the course

9:30 -11:00 - Making maps through web based sources (ArcGIS Online)

11:00-12:30 – Web Mapping with ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Explorer

12:30 - 1:30 - Lunch

1:30 - 3:00 - Using Metadata to publicize your map service through the NSDI.

3:00- 4:30 - KML creation and discovery for Google Earth
