This one-day workshop is a quick survey of current tools for online map creation and FGDC standard metadata.

We will cover the following.

1. ArcGIS Web Mapping tools including ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Explorer

2. Making maps through web-based resources

3. KML creation nad discovery for Google Earth

4. Using metadata to publicize your map service through the NSDI
