Geospatial Data Model Version 2.5
Schema Generation Tool
Version 2.5, released in July 2008, adopts naming rules and content
requirements used by the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM)
logical model version 2.0. The design of the GDM was adapted to take
advantage of the NIEM core, creating a geospatial domain for NIEM that
can be integrated into the NIEM logical model in future releases.
Version 2.5 is now available for download in the following

As in previous versions, the FGDC Homeland Security Working Group
and the GMO are extremely interested in soliciting user feedback about
the models and ways to make it more accessible by all users.

your comments.
Forward your completed matrices as an email to hswg-review [at] fgdc.gov. Comments will be adjudicated through the FGDC Homeland Security Working Group-Content Subgroup, and the results reposted to this website.
Schema Generation Tool 
The DHS Geospatial Management Office has deployed an online schema generation tool to extract custom views of the GDM. ESRI users can now export custom ArcXML schemas and use ArcCatalog to produce GIS-ready geodatabases.
