Duration:
Each workshop is a 1/2 day, but the schedule and content can be adjusted
as needed.
Abstract:
INTRODUCTION TO METADATA
An introduction to the value of metadata. Review the history of metadata,
explain how to read the CSDGM, learn metadata terminology, and begin
a plan on how to create metadata. Define steps to implement metadata
at an organizational level.
WRITING QUALITY METADATA
A course to get you into the metadata frame of mind. Focuses thinking
on developing metadata at the time of data creation, writing metadata
so that it will be useful over time, and developing a personal template.
Requires a general understanding of the CSDGM.

Tools:
Workshops do not use software tools. Emphasis is on the quality of
the metadata content.
