Workshop is designed as a 2-day session but can be compressed or expanded to meet user needs. Training for individuals may be scheduled for specific NCDDC related projects.
Abstract:
The Introduction to Metadata Workshop presents the concept, principles, and value of metadata. The content and structure of the FGDC CSDGM are provided in detail along with methods for writing quality metadata. Students receive hands-on metadata record creation and validation training with available software tools.
The training course may be customized based on an organizations specific requirements or data holdings.
