Metadata Trainers: Chris Dietrich
A typical workshop introduces metadata concepts and details of the FGDC Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata and the Biological Data Profile. Workshops optionally include training on National Park Service (NPS) metadata software including the NPS Metadata Tools & Editor, a custom software application that extends ESRI’s ArcCatalog© metadata capabilities and also provides a stand-alone metadata editing tool. The Tools & Editor features a number of powerful metadata editing capabilities that any metadata author is likely to find useful. The workshop alternates between lectures and exercises with an hour for lunch and morning and afternoon breaks.
