Partnership between the Center for Earth Observing and Space
Research (CEOSR) at George Mason University (GMU), Virginia Department
of Transportation (VDOT), Bureau of Transportation Statistics at the
Department of Transportation (BTS/DOT), and Intergraph, will establish
Transportation Framework Data Services using Open Geospatial
Consortium (OGC)’s Web Feature Service (WFS) Specification to enable
the sharing of transportation data among the federal level with data
from BTS/DOT, the state level through VDOT, the industries through
Intergraph. CEOSR will develop WFS solutions using Intergraph software.
Relevant technical documents will also be developed and disseminated
through the partners. The WFS will be integrated with operational
geospatial systems at CEOSR and VDOT.
