Columbia University Center for International Earth Science
Information Network (CIESIN) will collaborate with the New York
City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) to assist the
department in improving its metadata documentation procedures and to
develop and host a series of additional Train the Trainers workshops
tailored to meet the needs of the public health community.
The objective is to improve the documentation and management of
public health-related geospatial records to advance the efficiency of
health department operations, increase access to data, and facilitate
timely and well informed decision-making.
