Hello,
I'm setting up a new GIS department for a local government. I'm wondering if any standards have already been set on organizing folders, files, and data within a local government GIS department. Thank you

FGDC standards principally apply to data for specific themes or layers of geographic data. They typically have not delved into issues such as organizing data into folders and files. For more information about FGDC standards projects, see http://www.fgdc.gov/standards/projects/standards/projects/FGDC-standards-projects/index_html
The draft Framework Data Standard addresses data exchange for seven data themes needed by many critical GIS applications. For more information about the draft Framework Data Standard, see http://www.fgdc.gov/standards/projects/incits-l1-standards-projects/framework/index_html

Hello,
I have some comments that I'd like to submit in regards to the Street Address Data Standard. First, I'm wondering if this Standard is still open for public comments, and secondly is this the forum for such comment. Thanks in advance.
