The NSDI Clearinghouse Network Gateway at the EROS Data Center is currently down due to catastrophic hardware failure. It is likely to be inaccessible for two weeks, resuming service the week of March 13th.
The FGDC operates redundant, identical search Gateways operated at partner locations in USGS Alaska, NOAA-CSC in Charleston, SC, and NRCS in Ft. Worth, TX. These websites allow search of all NSDI-registered resources, and can be navigated to by clicking on the selector map:

The Geospatial One-Stop Portal (geodata.gov) is the preferred means to search domestic Clearinghouse resources, though the gateways remain for searching international geospatial metadata.
